The legendary singer also gave a touching musical tribute to David Bowie.
At an intimate concert in Los Angeles Wednesday night (Jan. 13), the legendary Elton John looked both backward AND forward with a touching musical tribute to David Bowie, and rollicking duets with today’s budding pop royalty.
Demi Lovato, Shawn Mendes and Fall Out Boy frontman Patrick Stump were the lucky performers chosen to duet with John and his classic crimson piano on The Wiltern’s stage.
Mendes was up first, accompanying John for a sweet, swaying version of “Tiny Dancer.”
This was John’s second performance at the Wiltern this week, after performing the night before for a SiriusXM Town Hall special. That night, he said about Bowie, “They don’t make them like that anymore. We’ve lost a huge, huge talent that influenced so many people.”
