Released on June 1, 2007, Vanguard 07/22 reflects the increasingly diverse programming landscape of American radio during the summer of 2007. Distributed by Radio Ventures, the Vanguard series provided music directors and radio programmers with newly released promotional recordings from major and independent labels, allowing stations to evaluate current singles across a broad range of radio formats.

This edition brings together an unusually varied selection of artists. Contemporary pop and R&B are represented by Rihanna, John Legend, Sean Kingston, Monica, and Kanye West, while rock and alternative audiences are served by The Smashing Pumpkins, Korn, 12 Stones, Tiger Army, and Fiction Plane.
