MY TOP 30 – WEEK 41, 2026 | José Araujo’s Personal Music Chart

Chart Week: October 18, 2026

Welcome to Week 41 of MY TOP 30, my personal countdown celebrating the thirty songs I’m enjoying most right now! This week’s chart is filled with exciting developments, including four brand-new entries, one returning favorite, two spectacular eleven-place climbs, and a fierce battle near the top. From Scandinavian pop and indie singer-songwriters to electronic music, international collaborations, and unexpected comebacks, this countdown continues to reflect a musical world without borders. Who will claim this week’s number-one position?

We begin at #30 with Swedish pop star Zara Larsson, who makes a brand-new entry with Blue Moon. Another exciting collaboration arrives at #29, as Olivia Rodrigo and Chappell Roan join the countdown with Expectations. At #28, we welcome a true German dance music icon! Blümchen makes her debut with 90s Icon, marking an extraordinary 30 years since her first appearance on the German singles chart with Herz an Herz in January 1996. Three decades later, Jasmin Wagner continues to celebrate the infectious energy of the 1990s, proving that the spirit of Eurodance is still very much alive! Meanwhile, Tame Impala slips one position to #27 with Loser.

At #26, Swedish vocalist Sanna Nielsen climbs two places with What Love Is, while sombr experiences a sharp decline, falling eight positions to #25 with My Body Isn’t Ready. American singer-songwriter Kacey Musgraves moves down three places to #24 with Dry Spell. At #23, British newcomer Sekou slips one position with Dangerous Lover, while Karol G and Bruno Mars suffer the week’s biggest fall as Still drops thirteen places from #9 to #22.

The next section brings a mixture of electronic music and rising pop talent. At #21, Kimo Sounds climbs four places with Rise Slow. KATSEYE moves down two positions to #20 with Animal, while Icelandic-born German singer Ásdís enters at #19 with The Art of Lettin Go. Just above, Peggy Gou and Ayra Starr rise two positions to #18 with Wo,man, adding another dose of contemporary dance-pop energy to the countdown.

At #17, Gracie Abrams returns to the chart with Look At My Life, giving her two songs in this week’s Top 30. Her other entry, Hit the Wall, remains unchanged at #16. British-Brazilian singer-songwriter Liana Flores slips three positions to #15 with Silvershoes, while STELLA LEFTY moves down to #14 with Boston. These songs bring a more intimate side to a countdown that moves effortlessly between atmospheric pop and energetic contemporary productions.

Two of the week’s biggest surprises appear just outside the Top 10. At #13, Swedish singer Petra Marklund makes a spectacular eleven-place jump with Mitt Hjärta En Rebell (My Heart Is a Rebel). Meanwhile, fellow Swedish act Crying Day Care Choir also climbs eleven positions, reaching #12 with Fuck It I’m A Flower. These remarkable advances make both songs the week’s joint biggest climbers and demonstrate the impressive momentum of Scandinavian artists in my personal chart.

At #11, Swedish duo Långbacka/Bådagård move down one place with Wake Us Up, narrowly missing the Top 10. But another Norwegian favorite is moving in the opposite direction. Ane Brun climbs three positions to #10 with Hold Me, securing her second Top 10 appearance this week. With two songs among my current favorites, the Norwegian singer-songwriter continues to make a particularly strong impression on my musical tastes.

Breaking into the Top 10 at #9, ADÉLA makes an impressive ten-place leap with Ain’t In LA, rising from #19. At #8, Swedish singer Amanda Jenssen holds steady with A 1000 Wildcat’s Cry, while her other entry, Pretty World, slips three positions to #7. Amanda’s return to music has been one of my favorite developments in recent years. Having followed her career since 2007, it is especially rewarding to see her new recordings continuing to find a place among my weekly favorites.

At #6, British singer Sienna Spiro climbs one position with Material Lover, continuing her steady rise. Meanwhile, French DJ and producer HUGEL moves down two places to #5 with Movin’ To The Sun, a track that has become one of the strongest electronic favorites in this countdown. Both songs remain firmly established in the upper section, although the competition is becoming increasingly intense.

The countdown reaches #4 with Russian rapper Баста (Basta) and indie-pop group Моя Мишель (Moya Mishel), whose collaboration Если я буду танцевать (If I Dance) climbs two places. Its progress continues to highlight the international diversity of this chart, where songs in different languages can compete on equal terms. With Russian-language pop now approaching the podium, only three songs remain. Will the number one change hands this week?

At #3, American singer-songwriter Ashe slips one position with Stop the Wedding!, a song that previously held the number-one spot and remains one of my strongest favorites of 2026. But the biggest challenge to this week’s chart leader comes from Imael Angel, whose Bad Times climbs three positions to a new peak of #2. After jumping thirteen places last week, the track continues its extraordinary rise, becoming one of the countdown’s most impressive recent success stories. Could it be our next number one?

And finally, the crown stays in Norway! Ane Brun holds the #1 position for a second consecutive week with Two in This Story! Her expressive vocals, sophisticated musical style, and emotional sensitivity continue to make this beautiful song my favorite of the moment. With Imael Angel closing in, Ashe still in contention, and several fast-rising challengers further down the chart, next week’s battle promises to be fascinating. Thank you for joining me on another musical journey, and don’t forget to share your favorite song in the comments. See you next week on MY TOP 30, exclusively on José Araujo International!
